This Sunday, January 7th is Maxwell Street’s first market of the year. Don’t miss your chance to visit one of the most historic markets in the city. The market offers a variety of merchandise from tools to furniture and everything in between.  The market is packed full of great bargains as well as rare finds and collectibles. Maxwell Street Market takes place on Desplaines from Polk to Taylor streets. Limited FREE parking is available on Desplaines from Harrison to Polk, and on Desplaines from Taylor to Roosevelt. Visit the City of Chicago’s official website for more information.

Either before or after you’ve selected some great deals at the market, visit the North Shore Suburbs to skate your winter break away at the Glenview Ice Center’s Winter Carnival. Skating will be open to the public both Saturday, January 6th and Sunday, January 7th from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. You can even skate with your favorite character Pink Troll from the Troll Movie!  Don’t miss this opportunity for family fun. For additional information, just visit the Glenview Park’s website.

Be sure to dress for the winter weather and enjoy the options for the first weekend of fun in 2018!
